We Need You! Volunteers Make Central School a Better Place!
Central Public has many great parents, guardians, grandparents, and other members of the community who volunteer to make Central a rewarding, well-rounded school environment and not just a place for our children to go to school. On behalf of the staff and students at Central Public School, we would like to say a big Thank you to all of the volunteers in our school community. Many programs at Central would not be possible without you, our volunteers.
Although Central has many dedicated volunteers, there is always a need for more parent volunteers and the opportunity to get involved if you have not done so already.
It is so important to get fresh new ideas and input from the school community to compliment what already works well and we know there are lots of great ideas out there!
Please give us a call at 613-932-0857 if you are interested and able to volunteer or you can contact the school for more information. You do not have to be on School Council to volunteer your time or provide input (although we are always looking for School Council members as well if that is of interest). You can volunteer as much or as little time as you have available with no obligation.
There are many people in our community who may be unaware of our need for help so please let them know… and let us know you are interested!
If you intend to volunteer or participate in field trips please ensure you complete a Criminal Reference Check (with Vulnerable Sector Screening) application. If you already have one on file at the school you will need to sign an offence declaration (new one every year).
Please note it is advisable to apply for this check early in the school year - process time at the OPP can take up to two to three weeks. If you do not have a check on file at the time of event you will not be able to volunteer.
